Your space for clarity, calm, and confidence in your gut-healing journey

Hey there  I’m Rachel Silansky, Functional Gut Health Practitioner and founder of Purely Rooted Nutrition.

If you’ve landed here, there’s a good chance you’re exhausted from trying to figure out your gut. Maybe you’ve bounced from diet to diet, supplement to supplement, or doctor to doctor  only to be told your labs look “normal” while you still feel anything but normal.

  • You might be bloated no matter what you eat.
  • You might go days without a bowel movement, then feel miserable when you finally do.
  • You might feel anxious around food, frustrated that your body isn’t responding the way it “should,” and confused about who to trust anymore.

I get it  because I’ve been there too.

I know how defeating it feels to do everything “right” and still feel uncomfortable in your body. I know how isolating it is when you look fine on the outside but you’re fighting a daily battle with your digestion on the inside. And I also know that healing is possible when you stop chasing quick fixes and start addressing what your gut actually needs to feel safe, nourished, and supported again.

That’s exactly why I created The Bloat to Bliss Blog — a space to bring clarity, compassion, and science-backed guidance to women who are tired of guessing, restricting, and being dismissed.

Why I Started This Blog

I started this blog because, like you, I wanted answers that made sense not another restrictive protocol or list of “can’t eat” foods.

For years, I struggled with bloating, fatigue, and digestive issues that no one seemed to take seriously. Doctors ran labs, shrugged, and told me everything looked “fine.” But I didn’t feel fine. And if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you don’t either.

As a Functional Gut Health Practitioner, my work now focuses on helping women uncover what’s really going on beneath their symptoms things like mineral imbalances, sluggish digestion, stress, and gut-brain dysregulation that often go undiagnosed but play a huge role in how you feel every day.

What I’ve learned through both personal experience and years of client work is that your gut doesn’t need to be “fixed.”
It needs to be understood.

The way your body reacts — bloating, constipation, anxiety after eating, fatigue — isn’t random. It’s communication. Your gut is trying to tell you something, and this blog will help you learn how to listen.

What You’ll Find Inside The Bloat to Bliss Blog

This space is for women who are ready to stop fighting their bodies and start supporting them. It’s for anyone who’s tired of quick fixes, endless restrictions, and one-size-fits-all advice that never seems to work long term.

Here’s what you can expect from the blog:

1. Bloat-Free Basics

You’ll find step-by-step guidance on the simple, foundational habits that make the biggest difference — like how to actually digest your food, support stomach acid naturally, improve motility, and build a calm relationship with meals again.

Just practical, grounded tools that actually help your body function the way it’s meant to.

2. Root-Cause Gut Education

We’ll dive into the “why” behind your symptoms  how stress, hormones, and minerals influence digestion; what your poop is trying to tell you; and how to finally understand your body’s signals instead of ignoring them.

My goal is to make the science simple, so you can stop overthinking and start taking confident, informed steps toward healing.

3. Real Talk About Hormones & Perimenopause

Because for many women in their 30s, 40s, and beyond, gut issues don’t happen in isolation. Hormonal shifts, blood sugar changes, and mineral depletion all play a role  and the gut is at the center of it all.

We’ll talk about how to eat, rest, and live in a way that supports your changing body instead of fighting against it.

4. Food-First Guidance (That Feels Doable)

This isn’t about perfection or cutting out everything you love. You’ll find gentle, sustainable changes like how to eat to support digestion, what to do when you’re constipated, how to handle social meals without anxiety, and how to create balance instead of stress.

5. Mindset & Nervous System Support

Gut health isn’t just physical. When you’ve been dealing with symptoms for years, it takes a toll on your mind and your confidence. I’ll share tips and mindset shifts to help you rebuild trust with your body and feel safe eating again.

6. Stories & Wins from Real Women

Nothing’s more powerful than knowing you’re not alone. I’ll be sharing stories, insights, and mini case studies from women who’ve gone from bloated, frustrated, and anxious to calm, confident, and comfortable in their bodies again.

My Approach: Simple, Rooted, and Supportive

There’s a lot of noise in the gut health world right now from influencers recommending “gut powders” to endless supplement stacks that promise to fix everything overnight.

But real healing doesn’t come from a single supplement or protocol. It comes from giving your body what it’s been missing and creating safety within your system again.

My approach is what I call “Supportive Simplicity.”

It’s about focusing on the few key areas that move the needle the most:

  • Nourishing your digestion instead of restricting food

  • Balancing minerals so your body can actually function properly

  • Supporting your stress response and sleep

  • Eating in a way that feels good, not forced

  • Reconnecting with your body’s natural rhythm

When you do that consistently, your digestion starts to respond. Bloating decreases. Bowel movements regulate. Energy improves. And the constant anxiety around food finally fades.

That’s the shift we’re creating here: from chaos to calm. From confusion to clarity. From bloat… to bliss.

A Peek Behind the Name

The name Bloat to Bliss represents more than just a physical transformation it’s an emotional one.

“Bloat” is that place of discomfort, frustration, and uncertainty. It’s when you feel puffy, tired, and disconnected from your body.

“Bliss” is what happens when you finally feel comfortable, energized, and in tune with your body again. It’s when eating feels easy. Your clothes fit comfortably. You wake up feeling light, not weighed down.

That’s the journey I help women move through — and this blog is your roadmap.
